The system which is known as <a href="http://openatrium.com/" target="_blank">Open Atrium</a> creates a hidden network for administrators, teachers, and parents to collaborate online. They system is intended to create less e-mail clutter and reduce the need for phone calls. The end result is more efficiency within the school system.</p>
<p>The Open Atrium system is based on tiered groups. For example, <strong>school administrators</strong> are a top tier group with access limited to just administrators. The next tier is a group for <strong>faculty</strong>. This group is limited to teachers, however administrators can monitor and interact with the group. The third tier would be the <strong>parents</strong>. Teachers and administrators have access to the parent group.</p>

<p>Not only did we design graphics for the Facebook page, but we dabbled in some photography as well. This is great for anyone that wants to view the club without having to leave their house!</p>

Yes! Not only can you track all incoming traffic with Google Analytics, Facebook has allowed developers to set up custom tags that will allow web administrators to know how there website is floating around throughout Facebook.</p>
<p><strong>Anything else?</strong><br />
Yes! There are many ways you can integrate Facebook on your site. You can see <a href="http://developers.facebook.com/plugins" target="_blank">all the current plug-ins here</a>.</p>
<p>In conclusion, the Facebook Like button may have mixed reviews but we think it will catch on. If you think about it, the &#8220;Like&#8221; button can be compared to the already popular &#8220;Digg&#8221; button. Facebook is already working on an interface to display top &#8220;Liked&#8221; content to users similar to <a href="http://digg.com/all/popular/24hours" target="_blank">Digg (see example)</a>. <p>The WordPress based site is a mix between a brochure and blog style website. The site features static pages across the top and news articles on the homepage. This allows Tri Star to add content, such as photo galleries and video, without having to create additional pages. All articles are archived and can be found through the Site Map.</p>
<p><strong>Some other unique features include:</strong><br />
The rotating featured graphics on the home page.<br />
The flyout menus on the programs page.<br />
The interactive maps on the contact page.<br />
The dynamic color coded calendar.</p>
<p>The overall site is great for anyone interested and looking for more information on Tri Star Career Compact.</p>

Here are some tips that should help get your page off to great start.</p>
<p><strong>Creating the Page:</strong><br />
It is very important that you log out of your personal account (your profile) before you create a fan page. Once logged out, you can create an <a href="http://www.facebook.com/advertising/?pages" target="_blank">independent fan page account</a>. You can add yourself (your profile) as an administrator of the page later. Then you will be able to update and edit the page whenever you are on Facebook.<br />

<p><strong>Edit Settings and Publish:</strong><br />
Do as much as you can before you publish your page. Upload a profile picture (<a href="http://www.facebook.com/celinamoose" target="_blank">or a custom graphic</a>). Complete the contact information. Decide if you want fans to be able to publish content on your page in your page settings. Create a photo album and post a welcome statement to the wall. <p><strong>Get Fans and Get a Custom URL</strong><br />
Now is the tricky part. Do you think the page you created will attract any fans. Almost any publish page will attract a few fans.<strong> The trick though is to get 25 fans ASAP.</strong> On your personal profile, update your status and tag your page in the update using the &#8220;@pagename&#8221; feature. This will allow your friends to find your page and become of a fan if they wish. Once you gain 25 fans, Facebook will allow you to <a href="http://www.facebook.com/username/" target="_blank">change your URL</a> to something short and easy to remember. This is a major plus when <strong>creating flyers, business cards, or any other type of promotional material.<br />

As we always are keeping ourselves busy with personal projects &#8211; this one has gone viral. The Facebook page currently has over 1,400 fans and was recently featured on the front page of the <a href="http://dailystandard.com/archive/story_single.php?rec_id=11107" target="_blank">Daily Standard</a>.</p>
<p>The Grand Lake St. Marys Facebook page is a powerful online tool. The page gives local updates to fans of the Lake. It also features an easy to read events page and online map.</p>
<p>We have big plans to keep the page fresh and growing. This includes short video infomercials relating to lake events and more.
